Continuing with the hike through the Beaverhill Bird Observatory we walked Robin's Route to the Observatory where we met the biologist and played with his dog Raven. We talked about the history of the area, the birds, and the research he's doing. After this, we headed south on Warbler Way, through the trees, taking in the bat houses and nets used when capturing birds for banding. Where was my camera during all this? Hanging around my neck of course, but I seemed to forget that I had it. So today's pic is from the Harrier Highway that eventually runs along Lister Lake. I don't think I've ever moved as fast as I did along this trail. The mosquitos were as big as small birds and HUNGRY.,

on June 15, 2022Looks like fun to explore this natural beauty but mosquitos love me too much to be able to enjoy it.

on June 14, 2022I love the names of all the trails...Harrier Highway looks great, but since mosquitos everywhere seem to love me SO much, I might have not enjoyed it quite SO much! ;-)

on June 14, 2022This is so pretty and I understand soaking up the beauty and forgetting to take photos. And, the swarms of big mosquitoes hungrily landing on you if you stopped, would be a big deterrent for me. Great image!

on June 14, 2022Very pretty little path - I can almost hear the mosquitoes when I first saw this, lol. They are absolutely horrendous here this year - I totally understand why you did not stop for photos, hoards of mosquitoes have a way of sapping the joy of the moment in a hurry.

on June 14, 2022The path has narrowed but it is still lush and so green! I do not envy you having to deal with the mosquitoes, though. I have not seen a single one this summer, so far.
