086 Mar 29/11 The mouth of the primula. Last night when a little bored, I tried a 36mm Kenko extention tube on my 24-70 lens to see what would happen. I did lose the auto focus mode and had to get the lens within a couple of inches of the flower to focus but was pleasantly surprised by this macro. It's quite a different view that I get with a macro lens. This is uncropped photo and the yellow portion of the flower is less than 1" wide.
Thanks for all your comments on the cupcakes. If you take a close look at the icing, you'll see that it appears that the light is coming from the right and the left, when in fact it was coming from the rear. This is caused from the light coming from too high of an angle and shining on the top sides. If I would have lowered or blocked part of the window or raised the cupcakes, I would have eliminated the shiny top sides.
