200 Aug 17/11 This spring I planted a tray of Zinnias in a flower bed for their beautiful, bright colors. One is a two toned yellow and red and every time I walk past it I think of Godschild and her love for bright, bold colors. I very rarely pick garden flowers and bring them into the house because of little critters that hid in them. Last night I wanted to do some macro's of this flower and broke the rule, cut a few and brought them in.
After a while of photographing them from every angle, with every lens, I picked out a few favorites and posted them here http://wildelifephotography.wordpress.com/2011/08/16/the-zinnia/
This morning I chose this one as my favorite for the dailies. If you look real close at the green part of the flower, you'll see three reasons for not keeping them in the house. They now adorn my little table on the deck.

on August 18, 2011Really lovely. I used to cut flowers from my garden for the house all the time and I did continually find bugs.
