Technically not a good photo. This was taken on the way to work (still dark outside) with the new to me 50mm from inside the truck. I was not impressed with this driver, as I had to follow him for approx 5 miles with his back lights on over his deck. At times I wished I could have pulled out the camera because it was hard to tell if he was coming or going, but+that probably would have been a little dangerous. Caught this opportunity when he had to stop for traffic.

on December 9, 2009I understand, What a PIA you had to sit behind. Hard to shoot in these conditions.
My brother drives one of these rigs. He has one of the best records in the country and the best in Tx. Information; semi's weigh 34,000 lb empty and 88,000 loaded. A car normally weights 3,400 and a truck loaded 4,000. (the engineer in me here). A dweeb like this guy might "wiggle" the trailer at you. My brother likes to take these guys and some of the container driver behind a shed for a "talk".

on December 9, 2009The smoke/hot air rising from the exhaust is neat. I'd have been frustrated following him too.

on December 9, 2009Wow! I'd be frustrated driving behind that in the snow at night. I'm glad you made it home safely. And the 50mm is a great lens. I think I like it just a little more than the 35 mm.
