Scarlet Mallow (Sphaeralcea Coccinea)

While attending a wedding this weekend at a cousins farm we ventured out into the field of natural prairie land. The main objective was to get photos of the coulee that ran through it. After seeing the coulee I had to bring out the macro lens for the 14 different varieties of wildflowers I found blooming. This one was a beautiful orange that lit up the field with flowers about 1/2" in diameter.
