Mosses and lichens covering a branch in the Pacific Rim Rainforest. We took a hike through a part of the temperate rainforest that covers the west coast of B.C. The area is hundreds of years old nature has done an amazing job of landscaping.

Mussels and barnacles. More of what is left behind on the rocks when the tide goes out.

Now that I have an internet connection again, playing catch up. This is for yesterday and is the upper bridge at Little Qualicum Falls. An incredible 2 mile hike up and down the river through an old growth rainforest.

A view from the road side in Glacier National Park. The vacation photos are being posted from an uncalibrated laptop so I hope you all are seeing what I'm seeing. Yesterday was a clear, sunny day and the sky was a brilliant blue. Off to the island today.

Chokecherry berries after the rain. Thanks for all the comments on the onion flower and I'll try to do one again in a couple of weeks to show how it's progressed.

Leaving today on a 10 day vacation, so posting and comments may be sporadic. We're driving through Banff and BC to our final destination of the west coast of Vancouver Island with a few nights in Tofino then back home through Jasper. This will be my first vacation with a DSLR and really looking forward to the mountains and ocean. I'll catch up with everyone when I'm back home.
