185 Dec 31/12 Have a safe and Happy New Year.
184 Dec 30/12
183 Dec 29/12 Pine Grosbeak
182 Dec 28/12 One more with the iPhone, this time with the Olloclip macro. Handheld in the cold with no control of shutter speed, not too bad for a little phone I think.
181 Dec 27/12 I didn't seem to give away much snow with my last photo, so I thought I'd try it again. Same snow, same trees but this time with the iPhone and the fisheye Olloclip, a Christmas gift from my daughter.
180 Dec 25/12 Are you dreaming of a white Christmas? Do your lawn ornaments look a little out of place on the green grass? Free to a good home, all the snow you'll want and need. Please bring your own truck. Hot chocolate or rum and eggnog supplied.
Merry Christmas everyone.
179 Dec 24/12 I know I've been AWOL from this group for a while but I did want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
178 Nov 29/12 Another one from the weekend. I was trying to get the lights, the barn and a horse in a shot. The horses were quite uncooperative and would not stand still for 20 seconds.
Thank you very much for your kind comments yesterday. For those who wish you were here, it's minus 16 Celcius (3.2 Farenheit) and we had more snow overnight.
178 Nov 28/12 Northern Lights at the farm. Long exposures, a near full moon and a yard light lit the yard.
177 Nov 20/12 The upper chamber of a tomb.
The burial traditions in New Orleans are so different than those here in Alberta. Further reading about the cemetery can be found here http://lafayettecemetery.org/
176 Nov 19/12 Details from a tomb at Lafayette Cemetery, New Orleans.
175 Nov 16/12 Life is like a box of chocolates.
174 Nov 15/12 Roof top statue at our hotel in New Orleans
173 Nov 14/12 Taking a break from the New Orleans photos as we got an unexpected show of Northern Lights last night. Long exposures of 20-25 sec were needed making the snow look like daylight.
More photos can be seen here
172 Nov 13/12 Flying over the Mississippi
171 Nov 12/12 Flying over Houston
170 Nov 8/12 This is what greeted us when we arrived home. Still using the IPhone for dailies until I get caught up. This was not pp in B&W, it's full living color.
169 Nov 7/12 Leaving this to go back to snow.
168 Nov 6/12 Double Jeopardy anyone
167 Nov 4/12 It was a rainy day in New Orleans.
166 Nov 3/12. Bourbon Street at night. Bad Internet connection last night so I'm uploading yesterday's now. Didn't bring a laptop to New Orleans so my dailies will have to be my bad IPhone photos.
165 Nov 2/12 Pretty toes.
164 Oct 31/12 Happy Halloween. Hope everyone is safe, dry and warm.
Critique always welcome.
163 Oct 30/12 Heading south. I still working on shots from this fall. This was taken Oct 7th when we came across a field of thousands of Snow Geese headed south.
Hope everyone on the east coast is safe, warm and dry.
162 Oct 29/12 The weather outside is frightful. Yup, that was the highway yesterday. Not ready for this but ....
162 Oct 28/12 Thinking pink. Morning dew drops on Coleus leaf. Now that life has slowed down to a reasonable pace I'm spending time processing the ignored photos from the past few months.
161 Oct 25/12
160 Oct 24/12 On the way home from work yesterday, we stopped to check out a field of hay bales. Temperature was around 0 Celcius (32 Fahrenheit) so Jennifer huddled up to a bale to keep warm.
159 Oct 23/12 Just hanging around.
158 Oct 22/12 One more from our Saturday trip into the city. Here we are at the Muttart Conservatory with a view of downtown Edmonton in the background. The rest of the photos from the day can be seen here
The white spots in the photo are snow, not lens dust.
157 Oct 21/12 Jennifer has arrived in Edmonton. She went on a trip into the city with me yesterday and stopped to take a look at the river valley.
156 Oct 20/12 Our weather in Edmonton this morning.
Critique always welcome.
